*originally recorded on 12-18-20*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and a RECO gate light.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

On December 12th, I went back out to the NS NA District to see about trying to finish documenting the crossings along the line, and hopefully having a better chase than the attempt FanFan61618 and I had a few days prior (more on that in a later video). I started documenting crossings down in Haleyville, but when I got up to this crossing and was beginning to document it, NS 320 came up so I quickly got set-on up and began my chase. The train wound-up having a pretty decent lash-up with an AC44C6M leading an SD70ACu on the head end and an ES44DC working as the mid-train DPU, all NS.

This crossing is a decent one, albeit nothing too special. The signals here appear to be either an early 2000s NS install with no changes, or a late-90s NS install that has had both bells replaced over the years. At some point, most of the gate lights here were upgraded to LED, though one of them on the closer signal is now dead (but I will admit I can't say for sure if it's LED or incandescent). The closer gate doesn't seem to lower quite all the way either?
The bells here do ring while the gates rise though, which is always nice to see.
They/Them for me, please.
