Boar Tush Road Railroad Crossing, Haleyville, AL

*originally recorded on 12-28-20*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

This was the third and final crossing I caught NS 329 at on December 28th. This crossing is a pretty decent one, featuring an early-2000s NS install without any major changes to it. In fact, really the only notable change here is that the closer signal had its gate lights upgraded to LED at some point. The tip gate light on the far signal's also gone dead, so that'll probably be replaced soon, I'm willing to bet.
After the train passes, you can also hear the MP 47.9 defect detector readout, which is located just south of this crossing. AL 13 can also be seen on the far side of the crossing.
They/Them for me, please.
