First crossing video with my new camera and tripod. Over the weekend, I managed to get myself a new Camera since the old Samsung HMX-F90 decided to fail on me while I was in the middle of filming a WB on the Sedalia Sub. The new camera I got is a Canon Powershot SX740 HS. So far I really like this new camera. I also got a new tripod since the old one I had failed on me after I got done filming the MKCVN in Oak Grove. Since I got the word that an EB grain train was coming on the Mexico Sub, I decided to put my camera to the test. After a failed video in Grain Valley (reason because I missed the activation sequence). I eventually got a successful video at Mason St in Odessa. Ik the video is backlit, but I will eventually get a better video here. This one was a test video. Crossing itself is a modern KCS install that unfortunately replaced a pair of gateless signals from the Gateway Western era. Still a shame this crossing got upgraded as the old signals had a safetran mechanical bell on it.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
