All 3 vids were filmed on 3-27-22. The other day I went back out to Kansas to film some trains. I was originally going to film on the BNSF Emporia Sub again. Unfortunately no trains came by so I ended up scrapping that plan. I instead decided to go over to the UP Kansas Sub where I had better luck with catching some trains. The first crossing I went to was 65th St since it was another crossing on the Kansas Sub I wanted to film at because of the MoPac era cantilevers this crossing had. Before the leds, newer gate mechs, and e bells came in, there used to be incandescent lights, older wch gate mechs, and two wch mechanical bells that were originally installed by the MoPac at the same time the cantilevers were installed. There's no doubt this crossing once had the MoPac bell sequence before UP changed things up. Sometime in 2011, UP replaced the gated signals to newer wch gate mechs with two wch e bells, the front lights are wch 2nd gen while the rear lights, and overhead lights received Electro-Tech leds. Gate lights are also made by Electro-Tech. The reason why I filmed at an angle for the 2 vids I've filmed on this side was due to the guard rail (which you can see to the right). The trains featured in the 3 vids are a WB double empty coal train, an EB loaded coal train, and a WB manifest.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
