Holmes Rd, Martin City, MO

Recorded on 3-27-22. Final catch of the day. After filming the 135th st crossing in action, I went over to Holmes Rd to film that crossing in action since there was another southbound coming. This crossing has been on my bucket list since 2020, the main reason is because this crossing features wch clear leds! One of a few on the Coffeyville Sub that has these lights. Kansas Sub, and the Falls City Sub has some as well, some do exist on the Sedalia Sub. These signals are I believe a late 90s, (maybe early 2000's UP install). The wch mechanical bell on the far signal is the only original bell left while the gs type 3 replaced a wch e bell (i assume a type 1) at some point in 2017. Very unfortunate that the e bell was replaced, but at least the wch mechanical bell still lives. At some point in 2021, the far signal's rear light, ant the guard rail deal around the signal base got struck by a car from a car vs train accident that happened at some point. No idea if UP will replace the damaged guard rail, and maybe reposition the light. Train itself was a southbound tank train.
