*originally recorded on 4-12-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After catching the KCS local freight at Waldron Street, I was waiting for it nearby on the NS IC District (mainly to see if I could get some pictures of the power). While waiting for them to shove down the IC District, I heard an NS 16A was getting close, so I quickly ran back over to the Memphis West and was just able to get set-up in time to catch it. Here we see NS 16A rolling through with a Dash-9 leading a quartet of AC44C6Ms for power, three of which appeared to be very fresh and were likely heading to Chattanooga, TN, to be placed into service. This was easily my second best catch of the day.

This crossing is another decent one, featuring a fairly original 2000s NS install. Outside of the gate arms and gate lights, no notable changes appear to have occurred here since NS installed these signals, though it's nice sometimes to get another one of these installs recorded, especially since many are getting close to 20 years old now, if they haven't passed that mark already.
