*originally recorded on 12-5-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

On December 5th, I got on up and got out to see about getting some more crossings filmed. I got up to Bowling Green, when I saw that I141 was meeting M574, whom was just leaving to continue north. As such, I quickly set-up at this crossing and, just a few minutes later, CSX M574 came rolling through with a pair of ES40DCs leading an ET44AH for power.

This crossing is a rather great one, featuring a 1970s L&N install that's still almost fully original. The lights here are also all early MI 12x20s, which are great to see. The MI bell here still sounds fairly nice, if a bit rough, but I'm glad to see it's still around. Hopefully this crossing remains almost completely unchanged for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm quite glad I got to film it when I did.
