I found a crossing in Goodwood Ontario, https://www.google.com/maps/@44.0384039 ... FQAw%3D%3D
here is the thing.
First thing youll notice is the fact is the only signal is a cantilever, the other side is a crossbuck.
Going back in time, the signal also had a mast signal with a RACO/Griswold mechanical bell.
There is a crossing tour of this.
Very interesting crossing

Re: Very interesting crossing
Based on the condition of the rails, I'm guessing the line is out of service. However, as the road wasn't paved over, the crossbuck was installed when the mast signal was knocked down so people (especially cyclists) would know where the rails are, and in the off-chance a train does have to go across there.
They/Them for me, please.

Line was made by the York Durham Heritage Railway which went bankrupt in 2024, the line was abandoned after that.freebrickproductions wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 1:48 pm Based on the condition of the rails, I'm guessing the line is out of service. Correction: The line was built by Toronto and Nipissing Railway which I assume was acquired by CN, York Durham Line separates the 2 lines (near Old Elm GO and YDHR out of service portion of the line) which the line was active past Goodwood I assume.CrossingRailfan wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:27 pmLine was made by the York Durham Heritage Railway which went bankrupt in 2024, the line was abandoned after that.freebrickproductions wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 1:48 pm Based on the condition of the rails, I'm guessing the line is out of service.
