After catching the southbound Silver Meteor, I knew that the Floridian wouldn't be too far behind it following it south, so I decided to head down to this crossing just north of Pierson to get the Floridian. However, the Silver Meteor wound-up having to stop at the south end of the siding in Seville to wait on a hi-rail truck going north to reach the siding and get out of the way of both Amtraks. As such, I was able to beat the Silver Meteor to this crossing with plenty of time to spare. After a little bit of waiting, I was able to catch Amtrak 97 flying past once again with the P40DC leading!

This crossing is another nice one, featuring a pair of old SCL signals from the early-80s (I believe) at it. It appears that, in the early-2000s, CSX replaced all of the lights here with the current Safetran 12x24s, which were originally incandescent. At about the same time, both bells here were also replaced by the current GS Type 2 e-bells. The crossing was left largely unchanged for at least about a decade after, until sometime between 2013 and 2018, when CSX upgraded the lights here to LED with the current Dialight Ball LEDs. Thankfully, since then, nothing else has changed to this crossing.
It's nice to get another pair of old WABCO Model 75 gate mechs filmed, along with some more Dialight Ball LEDs on the CSX. Admittedly, I was kinda hoping the bells here were GS Type 1s, given their condition. Oh well.
They/Them for me, please.
