After catching the mixed freight in Gates, vtgrxrman and I decided to try and chase it up to this crossing just outside of Dyersburg for at least one more shot. Thankfully, we were just barely able to beat it here, and here we get to see the train one more time on this evening. After this, we snagged a late supper in Dyersburg before making the four hour drive back home to Huntsville.

This crossing is a rather nice one, and I'm quite glad I was able to record it finally. The signals here were installed by the ICG back in the late-1970s, though in the mid-90s, the IC replaced the gate mech on the far signal with the current Safetran one. Then, sometime between 2015 and when EthantheRailfanner first visited here in 2020, CN replaced the bell here with the current GS Type 3 e-bell. Thankfully, since then, absolutely nothing has changed to this crossing, which is great to see.
Amazingly, somehow, this crossing has managed to avoid any kind of an LED upgrade here, and still retains its original incandescent Safetran 8 inch lights as a result! As such, this crossing is now the last incandescent crossing on the CN Fulton Subdivision, so I'm definitely glad I was able to get a video of it in action. It seems the lights here have been shot-up quite a bit over the years, given all of the dark spots on the lenses when lit and the many bullet holes in the backgrounds. This crossing is in a nicely rural spot though along a gravel back road just east of Dyersburg, which further adds to the atmosphere here. I will probably see about returning here at some point in the near-ish future for a better video, but, regardless, at least I have a fairly decent video of it in action.
