*originally recorded on 3-25-26*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After catching the northbound mixed freight in Dyersburg, I heard there was a southbound it was meeting at the siding there, so I decided to hop on back down to Halls to wait for it. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch my fourth train of the day: a southbound CN mixed freight with an AC44C6M leading an ex-CitiRail ES44AC still in patched CREX paint!

This crossing is another great one, featuring a 1980s IC install that's still fairly original. It appears that, in the 2000s, CN replaced the bell here with the current GS Type 2 e-bell. Then, sometime between 2008 and 2012, CN upgraded this crossing to LED. Thankfully, nothing else too major has changed to this classic 80s IC install since then, which is nice to see. I'm especially glad to see that the original 8 inch light heads here are still around too, seems like the Fulton Sub thankfully still retains a good few.
