This is in Ashland VA with those ugly signals that have one light turned sideways...
Anyway, Amtrak makes it's stop. As you will see, just as he starts to move again the gates start to go up. They end up going all the way up, and even the lights shut off briefly before they come back on and the gates finally go down again. The engineer actually had to stop and wait for this.
I guess I'm a little suprised that the gates did not reverse and go back down... I have seen them do that here before, especially when there is M.O.W. equipment working on the tracks in the area. Guess is might have to do with the crossing equipment itself?
A bit odd...
