Which Fast Food restaurant has the best fries?

Here's my order:

1) Carl's Jr/Hardees for their waffle fries.
2) Arbys for their curly fries.
3) Burger King
4) Sonic
5) McDonalds (bottom of the list)

Haven't had fries at Wendys, What-a-burger or Chick-Fil-A yet, since we don't have one of those around here. Flagstaff has one, but everytime I'm there, they're closed.

KFC doesn't have fries. They have Potato Wedges which are WAY too large to be fries IMO, so I think they shouldn't even count.

I had fries at Jack In the Box about 5 years ago, but I forgot how they were, so I'm not rating those yet.

In-n-Out Burger. Never frozen: they make the fries on site while you watch. They never freeze their beef either. Still family owned: no franchises.

Wendy's are my favorite... as long as they are fresh and cooked all the way through. I hate when you get cold soggy fries. Either they have been sitting too long... or someone jumped the gun and pulled them out of the fryer too soon.

Just a little trick if you want fresh fries (and you don't mind waiting for a bit). Ask for fries with no salt. They will have to cook a fresh order, then you can salt them yourself afterwords.

Sometimes they put too much salt on them anyways.

ALL fries are best when they are hot and crispy...McDonald's seems to do the best job of keeping them that way in my experience. Occasionally they oversalt them but I can just brush some of it off.

BK and Wendy's are usually good, too. I used to like Arby's straight fries, but they discontinued those and switched to curly fries only which I hate.

I like the fries done by Jack In The Box and Wendy's.

I also like the ones done by Dairy Queen, and the ones done by the fast casual chain Burgerville.
