In 2022 going into 2023, this crossing was completely rebuilt. The mainline was moved south and made double tracked as part of South Shore's efforts to remove the street running through Michigan City on both 10th St. and 11th St. In the process, 2 brand new WCH signals and 1 new pedestrian gate were installed.
