Re: Another siren crossing
I got a confirmation from the video owner that the siren came from a police vehicle, not the crossing.

It was not in the description at the time when I found the video. The owner later replied to me about the siren.MD2020 wrote:Should be obvious that it was a police vehicle blowing a siren at the train.
Heck, it's even in the video description.

Re: Another siren crossing
I believe MOW would be the only equipment to have electronic sirens on them in addition to traditional horns and bells.
Cool looking crossing, hope they keep those lights and gates down there with them!
Cheers,
Joshua

If you could translate the description, you'd know it says:
In the crisp afternoon EMD 9099 GT-22CW more a long train loaded hoppers comprises 30 mining and 40 refurbished from Ferreyra and container bound for Rosario is passing at speed through the level crossing Provincial Highway 12, located 3 km east of the city of Marcos Juarez. Vicinity of Marcos Juarez. Cordoba. Argentina. 27-07-12. 15:39 pm.

Re: Another siren crossing
I think they should do this to crossings with sidewalks in quiet zones for pedestrians who don't care about death and don't pay attention. When they see the train when the siren goes off they look at the direction the train is coming from the they say "HOLY
!"
