They may have removed the lights before the line was abandoned.freebrickproductions wrote:This abandoned crossing in Beacon, NY is a bell only crossing:

Re: Bell only crossings
This has nothing to do with the crossing but look at this old traffic signal right next to the crossing! https://www.google.com/maps/@41.502627, ... 2YJAaQ!2e0freebrickproductions wrote:This abandoned crossing in Beacon, NY is a bell only crossing:

Re: Bell only crossings
Considering that most of the signals along the former line had lights, that's my thought as well.ToledoRailfan wrote:They may have removed the lights before the line was abandoned.freebrickproductions wrote:This abandoned crossing in Beacon, NY is a bell only crossing:

Came across this one outside of Atlanta today: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.597123, ... g8WUgQ!2e0. Looks like Google caught a track observation train as well.

Re: Bell only crossings
Looking at older street view images, the Safetran Type-2 there appears to have replaced a GS E-bell. Reminds me of a couple of crossings in Athens.cabman701 wrote:Came across this one outside of Atlanta today: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.597123, ... g8WUgQ!2e0. This is the closest you can get to the signal in the older imagery, which is from 2007:ZachL wrote:Do you have a link to that?
