This abandoned crossing in Beacon, NY is a bell only crossing:

They may have removed the lights before the line was abandoned.

Considering that most of the signals along the former line had lights, that's my thought as well.

Looking at older street view images, the Safetran Type-2 there appears to have replaced a GS E-bell. Reminds me of a couple of crossings in Athens.

Came across this one outside of Atlanta today: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.597123, ... g8WUgQ!2e0. Looks like Google caught a track observation train as well.

Looking at older street view images, the Safetran Type-2 there appears to have replaced a GS E-bell. Reminds me of a couple of crossings in Athens.

Do you have a link to that? All I see is 2012 imagery.
