And no one's gone out there to photograph it yet? For shame. :glare:
Still one of the best mistakes made on a crossbuck. The guys at the sign shop had to have been drunk or something when they made that! :LOL3:
I have a photo from the 1980s that Mom took when we were on our way to somewhere. It said "RAIL RAIL CROSSING"

I'm so done. Road road crossing needs to be in existence if Rail rail crossing exists. :LOL2:  :LOL3:

I'm impressed.
Never knew that someone could :Censored: up that badly on a crossbuck.
Congrats on finding probably the best crossbuck mistake out there!

Umm... Does the gate really need to be that far away?

Found this unique crossing in Massachusetts... visibility an issue, so the advance warning signs on both sides have yellow 12 inch lights on them:

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.710568, ... 312!8i6656

And there is a gravel driveway right where one of the gated signals are... so the homeowner gets his own set of lights and a gate! https://www.google.com/maps/@41.711047, ... 56!6m1!1e1

This is down the line from the Train vs. Limo link I posted in the Grade Crossing Accidents thread. Not sure what happened, but it appears that BOTH gates where taken out. Maintainer is starting to put things back together: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.471281, ... 6656?hl=en

Lots of nice older signals up and down this line... at least as of 2013. Quite a lot of 8 inch lights and even some GRS 8 inch lights. Have to wonder if NS has started upgrading yet?

Here is a railroad crossing during what looks to be a severe thunder storm. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.562325, ... 6656?hl=en https://www.google.com/maps/@42.562322, ... 6656?hl=en
-----------------
This is a cool crossing. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.72961,- ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
Here is another cool crossing. Notice the crossbuck, it looks homemade. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.764417, ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
This crossing leads right into a really dense part of the forest. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.76759,- ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
This is a unique bell only crossing. This is not the kind of crossing I would expect to be a bell only crossing. The stop sign is really faded too. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.84095,- ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
This is the first time I've seen a crossbuck-stop sign combination for pedestrians. https://www.google.com/maps/@45.041864, ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
This is a pretty cool homemade signal, I wonder if it works. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.234191, ... 1664?hl=en
I wish I knew about it when I went up to East Tawas,Michigan during spring break because this is not too far away from East Tawas. Next time I'm in the area I'll stop and get pictures.
-----------------
This is a really short Crossbuck-Yield sign combination. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.190704, ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
This is odd, the gates at this crossing are part of the cantilever! https://www.google.com/maps/@44.111209, ... 1664?hl=en https://www.google.com/maps/@44.110965, ... 1664?hl=en
-----------------
Another crossing with the same setup. https://www.google.com/maps/@44.047641, ... 1664?hl=en

The last two actually aren't too uncommon, but the are certainly less common than the "traditional cantilever + gate mech on separate mast" combo that you see in a lot of places.
These usually tend to be put in when there isn't enough room at the crossing to put a gate mech on a separate mast from what I've seen.
They/Them for me, please.
