Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
2nd Avenue signal: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a dead WCH mechanical bell.

I had wanted to record this crossing since it was one of three gateless crossings in Attalla with a mechanical bell, but sadly, the mechanical bell here is dead. This also means that half of the mechanical bells in Attala are dead.

*originally recorded on 3-26-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the far right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell.
Signal on the near right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.

After catching the NS mixed freight, I went over to this crossing to wait for ATN M715. After about 45 minutes of waiting though, M715 eventually came rolling through with the ex-HLCX SD40-2 leading a GP40-2LW.

As you can see, since I last recorded this crossing, the ATN has replaced the dead WCH mechanical bell here with a GS Type 3 e-bell. Believe this change had occurred a few years back at this point, but I only just recently got around to getting a video of it. Other than that, no other major changes appear to have occurred to this 1990s CSX install, and hopefully it remains unchanged for years to come.

As a side note, I'm really only down to about like a dozen or so crossings on the ATN that I have yet to record/re-record (the latter being for upgrades that I haven't recorded yet).
