The 8 inch lights on the advance signal are from RACO as well!ToledoRailfan wrote:Great find! Defiantly an odd setup. I've seen those odd solar powered signals appear on Google Images every now and then, they always seem to be in industrial areas. That standard signal being used as an advanced warning signal is pretty strange too.cabman701 wrote:Entrance to a factory in St Paul, MN: https://www.google.com/maps/@44.8918072 ... 56!6m1!1e1.
The first signal has standard 8 inch lights with a warning sign about remote controlled locomotives. Then, behind it at the actual crossing it looks like they have some homemade-type signals that appear to be solar powered. Would be interesting to see how this set up works.

Also, the ones at the actual crossing (the "homemade" ones) are produced by an actual company, IIRC. I remember seeing them mentioned here before.
Also, I found this nearby, a BNSF "executive" SD70MAC leading a BNSF "Fakebonnet" Dash-9!
