There used to be two there back in 2007, with another split crossbuck too!

That's ultimately what I want in my backyard (well, almost ultimately). I've got the hardware...I just need to figure out the means to install them.

California seems to have a lot of classic equipment! I almost want to take a trip to California because of that! I'm surprised that the crossing in Santa Cruz that you posted hasn't made it to the site!

It could just be possible that all these maintainers out there take good care of the crossings, and California might be more lax on signal upgrade laws compared to other states.

That would explain why they have so many wigwags over there. California has pretty much replaced Wisconsin as 'the Wigwag state'.

Wisconsin also has a Commissioner of Railroads, which is an elected position; they're the only state to possess such a position in government, too.

EDIT: I take that back, Texas has one too.

That may be a RACO/Griswold bell there. It looks a little too round to be a US&S Teardrop.

We probably won't be able to tell until streetview is updated or until someone gets out there due to the quality of the image...

Indeed. I was just basing my claim off of the other signal there, as it's pretty much identical to the one posted.
