That is also a private crossing, so there's a bit more liberty to how a crossing gets protected.

I'm pretty sure that those gates are just for access control, I referred to it as sketchy because I could see someone stopping on the tracks if the gates are closed and the person is waiting to get access to the facility.

An interesting pedestrian crossing.

Here it is with different signs and no crossing ID tags back in 2013.

And here it is back in 2007! :Eeeeek:

Here is are two pretty cool crossings, they vaguely looks familiar so I wonder if this has been talked about on the forum before.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9068174 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9068224 ... 6656?hl=en

https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9070667 ... 1664?hl=en

I wonder why this gate was removed, maybe someone stole it and it just wasn't replaced for the time that street came there in 2013.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9068376 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9068459 ... 6656?hl=en
------------------------------
A three-way crossing with classic signals! :TUP1:

It is kind of hard to tell if these crossings are abandon or not.

https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9082137 ... 6656?hl=en

Very short 8'' signal! Kind of reminds me of the ones in Fremont, Ohio!

Even more classic signals!

Another classic signal for the side street!
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9125756 ... 6656?hl=en

This road is a one-way road but there is this signal that has had its lights removed! Kind of odd, might be from when this road was a two-way road.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9127187 ... 6656?hl=en
------------------------------
Guess what!? More classic signals!

This signal is leaning a lot!
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9129782 ... 6656?hl=en

Here are some very classic signals! I'm almost positive that this one was also posted here before.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9137479 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9135253 ... 6656?hl=en

https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9135033 ... 6656?hl=en
Huh, I though semaphore gate mechanisms were only used on pedestrian gates.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9135253 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.913667, ... 6656?hl=en
Sadly the crossing(s) have been updated! :Awww:
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9133323 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9139816 ... 6656?hl=en
I wonder if the reason that they installed full signals instead of just gates for the sidewalks is because the sidewalks are kind of far from the crossing. But why did the previous setup setup just had mast signals for the sidewalks without gates?
------------------------------
45 degree crossbucks!
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9160662 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9160583 ... 1664?hl=en
Sadly, they're gone.
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9160664 ... 6656?hl=en

Even more classic signals!
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9192946 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9190258 ... 1664?hl=en
I'm pretty sure that most of those were posted before. I definitely remember the standard GRS (XC?) 8 inch lights with the Lex-C front-parts on them.
They/Them for me, please.

I'm willing to bet that signal had overhead wires running to it originally and they needed the height for clearance.

Very old crossbuck!

I'm surprised that this crossing isn't signalized, kind of reminds me of the crossing on Route 2 in Ohio near Port Clinton before it was upgraded.

That road, despite being ~5 lanes at the crossing, don't look too busy. In fact, it drops to four lanes just beyond the crossing. It's probably more like Green Cove Road here in Huntsville, AL, as it appears to just get switching traffic across a non-major road.
They/Them for me, please.

Both are on the site, and I think that line is now officially out of service, or at least it doesn't get any use anymore.
