Those are Griswold/RACO/Safetran cantilevers there with the arms cut off.ToledoRailfan wrote:Does anyone remember this crossing? Here it is now.

Looks like this is the Canadian equivalent of a DOT number:

You found my home turf, the BNSF Bellingham Subdivision! Unfortunately, I don't have a passport right now, otherwise I would go over there and take some update pictures.

And a classic crossing with a pair of WCH mechanical bells too!ToledoRailfan wrote:Classic leaning signal.
I think that's a pretty standard sign. I know I've seen a few of them, including this one up in Tullahoma, TN:ToledoRailfan wrote:Interesting....

Active crossing in the Netherlands:

Nearby is a crossing with some rather odd signals:
https://www.google.com/maps/@52.6544726 ... 56!6m1!1e1
Instead of bells, it looks like the crossing uses alarms like what you'd find on a home security system?

And here's a video of it in action:

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
The stop dismount signs are common along the end of spur lines. I still don't quite know what they mean, either.
