Re: Rich's Stuff
Here are some more updated pictures. I painted all the signals with Sherwin Williams "Chrome Aluminum" Paint. I think it's the best looking paint out there! Looks better than brand new...

- It has a little counter on it to tell you how many times the gate has cycled. Down and back up (one compete cycle) is 1 click on this meter.

Great job Rich... you can tell all the hard work you have put into those. By the way... what happened to your deck?owensri wrote:Here are some more updated pictures. Re: Rich's Stuff
those look great, Did you buy the gates brand new? if so then you should have bought wooden wishbone gates from WCH.

Re: Rich's Stuff
Very Chrome-y...
Somehow I have a feeling that Safetran bell will disappear when the gate is complete, and an electronic bell will go there.

Re: Rich's Stuff
Here are a few updated pictures. I finally got the breakaway adapter and the gate mounted.

Re: Rich's Stuff
How y'all like this:
The signs come from Mike's site, and the lights and bell come from Patrick's MSTS files. It's a GS E-bell, and Safetran/Dialight 12"x24" Ball LEDs. The gate and gate lights, as well as the mechanism and mast were drawn by me in paint.
Thanks to Mike and Patrick for supplying the signs and lights.

I wanted to post only the last photo, which shows the counter.
Very interesting seeing that counter.
What does it measure?
One advance for gate descending and one advance for gate going up?
