Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a dead General Signals Type 1 e-bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and General Signals gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 1 e-bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Yep! The new NEG LED gate lights, which bear a very striking resemblance to the RECO ones, have been spotted in the wild!
They/Them for me, please.

After catching the ATN running lite, the sun (obviously) went down. However, as I noticed that this crossing had quite a bit of ambient light around it, I decided to hang out a while longer and set-up here to record them shoving back through the crossing. After a long while of waiting, I saw the train approaching with the conductor hanging onto the rear car with a flashlight to illuminate the tracks as they went.
Since I last recorded this crossing in 2016, the dead General Signals Type 1 e-bell here was replaced with a new GS Type 3 e-bell, making for a pretty nice sounding combo. Thankfully, the other GS Type 1 is still here and working as well, so hopefully it'll be around for a few more years. I haven't noticed any other changes here, which is quite nice since this is now the last crossing in Albertville to use incandescent gate lights.

*originally recorded on 11-15-24*
Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH Type 4 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, NEG LED gate lights, and a RECO LED gate light.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a nearly-dead General Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
After filming the two videos of US 431's crossing, I hopped on down to this crossing to wait for Y102 to come through. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch ATN Y102 once again, though this time with all for EMDs running lite!
Since I last filmed this crossing, the ATN had sadly replaced the remaining GS Type 1 e-bell here with a new WCH Type 4 e-bell. It appears that at about the same time, most of the gate lights here got replaced with RECO LEDs, though admittedly I did not notice until just now. Thankfully, the rest of the crossing remains largely unchanged, with both cantilevers retaining all incandescent lights!
It seems this crossing will be getting another change to it before too long though, as the GS Type 3 e-bell here is very much on its way out. In fact, when I was recording this video, I honestly thought the bell was straight-up dead entirely, though upon reviewing the footage, you can just about barely hear it as the gates here are lowering. It appears that the speaker in the bell might be trying to fall apart, which might be why the bell is so quiet. Either way, I won't be too surprised if this becomes another crossing on the ATN with a WCH e-bell pair at it.
